This post is a part of Five Minute Friday, a writing flash mob that happens every week when writers are prompted by a single word to write for 5 minutes without any major editing. Just raw thoughts and emotions. You can find out more and/or join the party here.
We gather together across the miles. We are mothers. We are grandmothers. We are college students. We are working mothers. We are stay at home mothers. We are all different, but we are all the same in the one way that binds us together, we are writers. We have published books, and we are writing for the first time. We have thousands of followers. We have six followers. We are all in different stages of our writing journey, but for a few hours on Thursday nights we take time and we gather. From across the miles we sit behind our computer screens and we build bonds that stand the test of time, because we have this one thing that binds us. We are the Five Minute Friday Community. We write, we laugh, we cry and we pray. We stand beside each other when the world seems to be walking away. We can always find solace and comfort in the words of one of our fellow #fmfparty people. And if we ever need that comfort there are many of us just a click away
If you have the ability to turn a phrase or if God is leading you to writing, if you have an established blog, or if you are just starting out, I encourage you to click the Five Minute Friday link above and gather with us. You won’t be sorry you did! I will be forever grateful for my friend LeeAnn introducing me to this amazing community!
